The central figure of this video is a special fruit, the pomegranate. This fruit holds several symbolic meanings in religious context as well as in art history. With its abundance of seeds, it’s a symbol of fertility, health and rebirth. Some people consider it as an aphrodisiac and it is often portrayed along distinctive female figures in art and literature. Pomegranates are rich in antioxidants and are widely sought after for its overall health benefits. In this video, I am giving instructions for a modern-time ritual, using techniques of fluxus, painting, self-care practices and witchcraft to overcome any obstacle with the help of the pomegranate through a transformative action.
Sőt, kissé alulértékeltnek is találom a fület, a szemszínnel szemben például.

Korábban a kemogram lenyomatok esetében, most pedig a pasztellrajz esetében felmerül a forma félreismerhetősége. Érdekel ez a "megtévesztés", találgatás. Sokan embriónak vagy valamiféle szervnek nézik, esetleg állatnak.
Ennek kapcsán akár Rorschach-tesztre is gondolhatunk.
This photobook takes a similar form to a previous one called Healthy Coexistence, also resonates content-wise.
In this one, I tried writing longer texts to accompany the photographs.
Most of the texts are very personal and intimate, sometimes they are a bit diary-like.
They talk about experiences of closeness and loneliness, and the transition and transformation
which takes place between these two.
I experimented with the layout of the photos and the typography, to add an extra layer and
emphasize certain elements.
It only exists digitally for the moment.
This project traces the memory and aftermath of a fictional football championship which took place in 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. To build this
fiction, I drew inspiration from real events, from past and current political issues, also envisaging an idea of a possible future. Alongside with the title, several references can be found to the Pan-European Picnic which was a peace demonstration held on the Austro-Hungarian border in 1989. In my research, I was focusing on racism in association football and ways of abolishing it, with special emphasis on football in Hungary and France. The idea of this fictional championship is to distribute the players of all European countries into nationally mixed teams, therefore the cause and goal is to combat racism and nationalism in association football.
Örkény István: Egypercesek - Végleges Megoldás, Tary Patríciával
István Örkény: One Minute Stories - Final Solution, with Patrícia Tary

This piece was created especially for an exhibition which took place soon after quarantine period ended in Hungary, among one of the first small-scale, independent exhibitions of that period.
The exhibition was organized in ISBN+ books and gallery by the crew of independent Budapest based magazine, called 'Utca és Karrier' meaning 'Street and Carrier'.
The subject was 'Resurrection'.
My piece constitutes of a leather onesie, a transparent bag with objects inside and two screenshots printed as a poster.
They tell the story of the mystical disappearance of a girl (my alter-ego), whose body mysteriously vanished, only her clothes were found somewhere on the street. We can see the reconstruction of the crime scene in the gallery space alongside the posters.
The transparent bag contains a book by Ljudmilla Ulickaja, which I read shortly before creating this piece - in which you can find several short stories in which the protagonist's body vanishes mysteriously as they die.

The hint of fantasy/mistery/mysitcism in these quite realistic stories really fascinates me. I also like playing with alteregos and fake news, questioning reality and exploring the boundaries of authenticity.
I am 26 years old.
A bit boney, angular, but still, quite pretty.
Nevertheless, I have only been with 3 men so far.
By the way, all 3 of them were called Ernő. Maybe by chance…
But now, the phone keeps ringing. An impatient, aggressive male voice speaks. „Why are you quiet?!!!” He says. „Is that you, Lulika? Hallo, Lulika, don’t you say a word to me?”
I’m totally clueless. Should I answer or should I hang up? What’s smart, what’s right?
I’m over 30. But only one man has ever told me he loved me. The last time I said 3, but I didn’t tell the truth. There was only one and he wasn’t called Ernő.
And then, the phone was ringing more often, I mentioned this too.
But they sent a repair guy, he completely took it apart, „Now there won’t be any wrong calls” And it was true.
After years and years, the phone rings for the first time now. Oh, what if they will be looking for Lulika? Should I say, „Yeah, Lulika here”. Or should I say „Wrong number, why are you molesting me? My name is Edit Steier.”
The years go by, life goes on. I’m still a virgin. I get headaches before rain. Once, I was sure that a man called „Ernő” fell in love with me. But he was so afraid of rejection that he only dared to call me on the phone. But that was also not love. Later I found out that there was only an error in my device.
But after a while I realized that I’m fulfilled with much less. The only important thing is that it should be a final solution.
It happened then that I swallowed the key of the elevator. Beforehand, I attached a thin string to it, and the other end I attached to my lower eyetooth, which stands alone. There aren’t teeth around it neither from the right nor the left side.
But I didn’t think that the string won’t be visible on the X-ray. „You silly” – said the doctor after the operation. „Why didn’t you tell me you tied it to your tooth? I could have easily pulled out the key through your mouth.”
But I explained that I didn’t want to annoy them. Who thought about an operation? I just wanted a final solution, something that cannot be taken away from me. But something that one can also not die from.

Sculptures on Buildings Project
This is a continuously growing collection of images of sculptures and reliefs which I found on or connected to buildings. All of them depict antropomorphic figures: humans, mythological creatures, angels, babies. The purposes behind these sculptures are varied, whether as artistic intentions, decorative or architectural features, or as historical records. What interests me most is not why these sculptures are there and who made them but the idea of these figures as observers and what they could have seen.
